Consider, friends, that we today treat government the same way our forebears treat religion – a residual category of responsibility wherein God, or our governing system, takes on all that we regular folk cannot imagine or wish to deal with. Managers, CEO’s, elected and unelected officials are paid not because they’re better at their job, but because their job has expanded to being publicly in charge off our concerns, and disposable in case those concerns are insoluble.
Let us pray.
One World Government, Thou art in Davos
Household be thy Name, Thy technocracy come
And govern in practice as it does in theory.
Give us this day our nutritional requirements
And forgive us our antisocial behiavior
As we forgive those who have acted antisocially against us
Do not lead us to risk
But deliver us from uncertainty
Amen.
